“Lock and Key” - by Mason Proper
Allow me to, one again, act as your official guide to mildly obscure Michigan bands. Mason Proper is a Ypsilanti-based group whose sound is a little Radiohead mixed with a splash of TV on the Radio. And while it may be true that they are still a ways away from acheiving the sort of artistry or acclaim of either one of the aforementioned bands, their sound is still yummy all the same. Olly Oxen Free’s been out for a little while now, but I’m just now discovering it and I feel it will get its fair share of airplay in my upcoming summertime mixes. Enjoy with sunshine, doves.
