Don't Forget To Dance

Slow Club’s “Because We’re Dead,” from Yeah So

Boy-girl folk-pop duos are so very very right now, and here’s another one to add to the pile - Sheffield, England’s Slow Club, aka Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson.  Their playful sound is often (and aptly) compared to Tilly and the Wall, and the tone of their songs range from silly to sweet to downright raucous.  I’ve been listening to this LP a lot lately, songs like “It Doesn’t Have to be Beautiful,” “When I Go” and “Because We’re Dead” (posted above), especially.  Fun stuff.
