For as great a band as Spoon is, they’ll probably never again produce an album of the caliber of Girls Can Tell. Like most groups, as their popularity grew, so too did their albums start to take on a more polished and homogenized sound. ”Me And The Bean” is a great example of one of those dark-gritty-lofi songs exemplary of Spoon’s pre-fame, not to mention a pretty sweet love song.
