Port O’Brien - I Woke Up Today
If all they could do was sing, all I can do is dance uncontrollably. No, these hipsters don’t hang around Williamsburg wearing any kind of fedora. They like to hang out on Kodiak Island in Alaska. I love the “communal” feel of this music a la We’re From Barcelona, but with much more depth. This song and Port O’Brien in general, makes me want to go on a hike or start a bonfire on a beach and start a singalong, european style. But more importantly, it makes me want to dance!
P.S. I tried to upload the song called “Close the Lid” but the file was too large unfortunately, so I had to choose this better known song, but it’s still wonderful.
